INTRODUCTION
In a response to the urgent requirements of reforestation and forest development in 1983, research for determination of forest tree species for forest economic regions and forest development has been founded and completed for the contents of a progressive national program of science and tectnique with the code 04.01. This program was presided over by the forestry branch.
Stipulations about tree species structure for reforestation and forest development have been made based on the combination of the research results and progressive techniques at the central services and local bodies over 5 years ( 1978 – 19 83) with joint survey results and unity of opinions at 6 scientific symposiums from both inside and outside the forestry branch.
These stipulations have been appraised by the Forestry Ministry and developed for practical production during the period of the plan 1986-1990.

1. Findings
The basis of tree species has been determined and arranged according to the economic forest regions throughout the country. In every region tree species have been arranged into group. Every group consist of tree species with similar criteria.
