IUFRO ACACIA 2026 CONFERENCE
“Sustaining Acacia Plantations in Dynamic ChangingWorld”
Acacia (Acacia spp.) is one of the most important plantation species in tropical and subtropical regions, including Vietnam. It plays a vital role in supplying raw materials for the wood processing industry, supporting rural livelihoods, contributing to greenhouse gas emission reduction, and promoting the circular bioeconomy. In the context of climate change, increasing risks of pests and diseases, and rising global market requirements for legality and sustainability of forest products, strengthening international cooperation in research and development for sustainable Acacia plantations has become increasingly important.
With the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Vietnam Academy of Forest Sciences (VAFS), in collaboration with the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), will organize the IUFRO Acacia 2026 International Conference under the theme: “Sustaining Acacia Plantations in a Dynamic Changing World”.
The Conference aims to provide an international scientific platform, bringing together researchers, policymakers, industry representatives, and stakeholders to share research findings, exchange practical experiences, and promote collaboration in the sustainable management and development of Acacia plantations.

- Venue: Pan Pacific Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam
- Field excursion sites: Tuyen Quang Province or Ba Vi (Hanoi)

The Organizing Committee cordially invites researchers, experts, and organizations to submit abstracts:
- Abstract submission deadline: 15 May 2026;
- Early bird registration deadline: 1 July 2026;
- Selected abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentations.
The Conference also welcomes sponsorship and partnership from organizations and enterprises, contributing to enhanced academic quality and expanded networking opportunities in the forestry sector.
