Vietnam has a coastline of 3260km, running from Mong Cai to Ha Tien over 25 provinces and cities. This is a harsh ecology, causing sand hazards and a powerful mobile menace to crops and people living on coastal sandy areas.
This article is drawn from the results of research investigating, evaluating, arranging and monitoring experiments on afforestation and integrated analysis of research results. Results highlight the principles of content systems technical solutions to build wind protection forest, stabalise sand, and improve the state of sandy beaches of Vietnam.
Sandy coastal areas have four major geographical areas: (i) sand dunes, (ii) stream sand drift, (iii) where the winds hit and (iv) residential and agricultural production. Based on the nature of the major harm to the victim and the third is very dangerous, dangerous and less dangerous, divided into five regions and coastal sandy areas of protection (i) Zone moving newly formed sand to the sea (ii) Regional strength in the mobile sand between (iii) Region fixed beach dunes villages along the sea; (iv) Region fixed beach dunes in the same borders; and (v) Zone low beach dunes, fixed mix.
All coastal sandy area are divided into 3 groups with 12 locations: Group I is the mobile dunes, never flooded, there are two forms local establishment; Group II semi-fixed dunes are fixed or never flooded, has set up two local forms; group III is fixed sand, dry, wet, semi-submerged to submerged year round, with eight locations as established.
Prior to that, the protection forest belt made of a combination of planting and growing focuses on distributed mesh belt system providing stability for all regions and areas, and around the outside of the belt on the basis of five partition protection.
Selected the seven species of higher plant groups, nine species of trees missed the group, seven species of shrubs and determined group of local established appropriate technical regulations designed the forest belt, the same source, standards seedlings, the packaging process, as the land, the time for planting, planting techniques, care, nurturing and protection of forest protection on the coastal sandy soil of Vietnam.
