INTRODUCTION

Investigation on the changing of some micro-climatic factors in the forest to serve forest regeneration work was carried out by using an obsis station to collect data according to procedures from the Meteological Department. There was one station placed in mixed broadleaved forest with shading of 0.7-0.8, and one station placed in an open area at Nuitien.

RESULTS

1. Changing of the temperature regime in the forest

– Due to the effect of forest flora, the average temperature and maximum temperature in the forest is always lower than the average and maximum temperature in an open area. It must be especially noted that the absolute maximum temperature on the soil surface in the open sometime can be 30.4oC higher than that on the soil surface in the forest and the absolute value can be up to 69oC.

– Forest flora and vegetation increased the minimum temperature in the forest and limited the temperature reducing process in the cold season. In the forest, minimum temperature is always higher than in the open. Therefore at Nuitien area, there was no frost in the forest, while in the open, frequent frosts can occur.
