Le Dinh Kha Acacia auriculiformisand A. mangium are two of the main planting species in Vietnam. For the next 10 years the planting area of these two species will probably be about 130.000 ha. To date there have been thousands of ha of Acacia plantations established throughout the country, with seeds imported from Australia or collected from A. auriculiformis and A. mangium plantations of unknown provenance, which were established in southern Vietnam in the 1960s.
