This book provides an overview of forestland evaluation systems applied in different levels in Vietnamand it comprises 3 main parts. Part one focuses on briefing existing forestland evaluation systems. Part two describes details of forestland evaluation systems on different levels and their application in production. The major evaluation systems and outputs in this part are potential productivity evaluation and site classification of different forestland types by the main regions in Vietnam.
The remaining part shows the development of new concept for forestland evaluation by taking the advantage of existing forestland evaluation systems which is the formulation of a set of criteria and indicators for communal forestland evaluation for reforestation in hilly and mountainous areas. This set of criteria and indicators has been proposed, tested and finalized and reveals high feasibility in application in reality in the context of Vietnam.
