D\u1ef1a tr\u00ean quan s\u00e1t ch\u00fang t\u00f4i th\u1ea5y ch\u1ea5t l\u00ad\u1ee3ng g\u1ed7 tr\u00f2n r\u1ea5t th\u1ea5p. Gi\u00e1 tr\u1ecb l\u1edbn nh\u1ea5t c\u1ee7a g\u1ed7 tr\u00f2n c\u1ee7a Tr\u00e0m cho \u0111\u1ebfn nay l\u00e0 l\u00e0m c\u1eeb s\u1eed d\u1ee5ng trong v\u00f9ng \u0111\u1ed3ng b\u1eb1ng s\u00f4ng C\u1eedu Long. They were planted in 1994, 1995 on the acid sulfate soils in Thuy Tan commune, Thanh Hoa district, Long An province.<\/p>\n<p>A main cause of why this wood is not much desired is the lack of knowledge about this wood. Research on wood characteristics would contribute to evaluating possible uses of this wood. The Forest Plant Resources Division of the Forest Science Institute of Vietnam was in cooperation with JICA to carry out the project &#8220;Research on wood characteristics, evaluation and usability of three Melaleuca species&#8221; in 2001. The project provided the scientific base for wood assessment of Melaleuca depending on wood characteristics (physical \u2013 mechanical properties, main chemical contents of wood) and analyzed the
