Et de Vriese in degraded land in the North of Vietnam.<br \/>\nSpecialty: Forest resources management<br \/>\nCode: 62 62 02 11<br \/>\nPostgraduate student: Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga<br \/>\nSupervisor: Associate Professor Pham Quang Thu<br \/>\nEducation institution: Vietnamese Academy of Forest Sciences<br \/>\nKey results:<br \/>\n&#8211; Strain Pt1 of symbiotic fungi Pisolithus tinctorius was selected which can help increase the height of Pinus merkusii seedlings to 4.7 cm, a 55 percent rise compared to control. For the first time, strain QI1 (Pseudomonas fluorescens) which can synthesis IAA at 11.872 mg\/l\u00a0 and inhibit Fusarium oxysporum causing damping off in pine with the diameter of inhibit ring of 20.1 mm. The best growing condition of QI1 is molasses culture medium, 120-hour (5-day) growing time, temperature of 25oC and pH\u00a0 of 7 \u2013 7.5. Also, it is the first time that strain QI24 (Bacillus subtilis) isolated and selected. This strain can inhibit F. oxysporum causing damping off in pine with the diameter of inhibit ring of 22 mm and synthesis IAA at 5.312 mg\/L. The best growing condition of QI24 is\u00a0 PD culture medium, 72-hour (3-day) growing time, optimum temperature of 27oC, optimum pH of 7. Strain N2.1 (Burkholderia cenocepacia) which can dissolve insoluble phosphate with the diameter of dissolve ring of 23.5 mm, synthesis phosphorus with concentration of 420 ppm, nitrogen fixation ability of 2.12 mg\/ml NH4+. The best growing condition of N2.1 is Pikoskaya culture medium, 72-hour (3-day) growing time, optimum temperature of 27-30oC, optimum pH of 6.5 was isolated and selected. Strain V4.2 (Azotobacter beijerinskii) which can fix nitrogen by 4.18 mg\/mL NH4+, dissolve insoluble phosphate with the diameter of dissolve ring of 17.2mm and synthesis phosphorus with concentration of 271.32 ppm. The best growing condition of V4.2 is NFMN culture medium, 96-hour (4-day) growing time, optimum temperature of 25-27oC, optimum pH of 6.5-7, was also isolated and selected for the first time.<br \/>\n&#8211; Best formula of multi-strain microorganism preparation for nursery:10 kg including 35% apatite powder + 35% humus + 20% microorganisms + 10% potassium polyacrylamide. Best formula of multi-strain microorganism preparation for plantation: 10 kg including 40% apatite powder + 40% humus + 20% microorganisms. Such preparations can be stored at room temperature, used best before 6 months since produced.<br \/>\n&#8211; By applying 2 gr of the multi-strain microorganism preparations for Pinus merkusii in nursery,\u00a0 tree height reached 22.54 cm (23% increase compared to control and 15-18% increased compared to other preparation), diameter reached 4.12mm (28% increase compared to control, 24% increase compared to using normal container with 1% phosphate, disease incedence decreased to 3-5%. In plantation, tree height reached 34.62 cm (26% increase compared to control and 19% increase compared to using NPK 20.20.15), diameter of 1.5 year old trees reached 1.5 cm (44% increase compared to control, 27% increased compared to using NPK 20.20.15) as applying 40g multi-strain microorganism preparations for Pinus merkusii.
