Plant specimens are housed in a number of international herbaria but the information on the taxonomy of Vietnamese bamboos is very limited. The systematic study of bamboos is a very difficult task due to unpredictable and sudden flowering and scarce seed production. Most of the works are based on very few morphological characteristics. For these reasons it is important to continue to study bamboo taxonomy in Vietnam.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: 10pt\"><span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: 10pt\"><em>Field work: <\/em>Investigate, collect specimen: Based on collected data, sentinel investigation and filled designed questionnaire. Plants specimens are pressed, dried, processed, and stuck to paper according to specimen making method.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<em><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: 10pt\">Laboratory:<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: 10pt\"> Identify scientific names: mainly based on morphology characteristics. In addition to observation, analysis, and comparison of specimen in lab, field observation method is also used.
