\n<\/strong>Forestry Scientific Technical Application Centre (FSTAC<\/span><\/em> <\/span><\/em>Ligustrum lucidum <\/span><\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/em>Ait  <\/span>was brought from China to grow at the Presidential Palace from the 60th year of the 20th century by President Ho Chi Minh. <\/span>Ligustrum lucidum<\/em> belongs to the <\/em>Oleaceae family, and is an evergreen shrub, with glossy leaves and a nice leaf canopy. It can tolerate cold weather. Therefore,<\/span> it was chosen by President Ho Chi Minh to plant to Vietnam in the hope that if it was suitable for Vietnam conditions, they would grow well on the streets. Therefore the task of implementation is Researching and Developing Ligustrum lucidum <\/em>Ait to determine whether the species is suitable to use extensively in urban greening work.<\/span>            <\/span><\/span><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\nMaterials<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong>: Cutting of <\/span>Ligustrum lucidum <\/span><\/em>tree <\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Methods:<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong> To arrange<\/span> experiments  <\/span>follow four seasons, use three <\/span>medicaments (<\/span>IBA, NAA, IAA) and  <\/span>five different concentrations (<\/span>500ppm; 750ppm; 1.000ppm; 1.250ppm; 1.500ppm). Each combination is applied to 30 cuttings and repeated three times. The research <\/span>results will  <\/span>determine the best of season, medicine, and concentration.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Monitoring the growth of <\/span>Ligustrum lucidum <\/em>trees planted in Hoa Binh province and Ha Noi city to record the level of tree growth. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n– Applied statistical methods and use of mathematical software used to process and analyze data <\/span>Reseach results  <\/span>in <\/span><\/em> <\/span>2006<\/span><\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/em>Research result of IBA medicine at 1,000 ppm in autumn (July – September) provides the best results <\/span>(36,36% of cuttings having a root). This result has  <\/span>clear difference from the NAA and IAA medicine.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Research results  <\/span>in <\/span><\/em> <\/span>2007<\/span><\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/em>Results <\/span>determined that:<\/span> IBA medicine at 1,000 ppm in autumn (July – September) provides the best results <\/span>(37,77% of cuttings having a root ). This result has  <\/span>clear difference from the NAA and IAA medicine.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Results on the growth of Ligustrum lucidum trees in Hoa Binh province and Ha Noi city<\/span><\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/em>After 3 years of planting experiments in Hoa Binh province and Ha Noi city, <\/span>Ligustrum lucidum <\/em>trees showed  <\/span>moderately good <\/span>growth.  <\/span>Stump diameter (Doo =5 – 5,2cm); height (Hvn = 4,7 – 4,85m)  <\/span>leaf canopy <\/span>diameter (1,20 – 1,3m)<\/span>            <\/span><\/span><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\nConclusions<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/strong>– IBA medicine is the best medicine for cutting Ligustrum lucidum<\/em> trees in three medicines trialled.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>– IBA gives the best results at a concentration of <\/span>1,000 ppm<\/span>– The best season is autumn (July – September)<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
