This is the proceedings of a workshop “District level Community Forestry workshop” organized by the Participatory Watershed Management Project in Hoanh Bo District. The objectives of the workshop are; 1) To sensitise on the appropriateness and benefits of community forestry for Hoanh Bo District; 2) To get an interim policy framework from the DPC of Hoanh Bo District to ensure an appropriate legal environment to introduce community forestry and to establish community forestry trials; 3) to agree on the type and location of models to be established and to prepare a draft work plan indicating stakeholders, responsibilities and timeframe.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/TD>
